Job Opportunity - Sales Associate/Telemarketing Representative

Position summary:
In this position, the successful candidate will promote and sell company products through direct customer contacts. Schedule sales calls and submit reports of sales activities. Identifies prospective customers and compiles information on competitive products.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The following are the usual, major job duties, but this job description does not preclude the performance of other duties requested by the Chief Sales Officer.
- Solicit and develop new clients/leads to introduce the company concept and network the organization through telemarketing, cold calling, and referrals.
- Handle large amounts of outbound calls following a script and provide top-notch service.
- Schedule appointments for sales staff to meet with prospective clients or for prospects to attend sales presentations, and submit reports of sales activities.
- Identify prospective clients and compile information on competitive products.
- Organize, plan and prioritize work by setting specific goals.
- Perform day-to-day administrative tasks as necessary.
Qualifications/Skills & Knowledge Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Insurance Industry knowledge preferred.
- Ideal candidate will be upbeat, competitive and self-motivated, requiring minimal supervision.
- Must be a results-driven individual who is a team player, persistent and brings a positive attitude to the workplace everyday.
- Great listening and closing skills.
- Business to business appointment setting in a call center environment preferred, but not required.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills; be dependable, honest and punctual.
- Have good planning and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and writing skills are a must.
- Basic computer knowledge, and internet savvy required.
