Ovation Benefits' Medical Director Nominated as Finalist for 2011 Health Care Heroes Award

Farmington, CT - Dr. Charles Taylor, MD and Medical Director for Ovation, has been named as a finalist for the 2011 Health Care Heroes Awards by the Hartford Business Journal. Team members from Ovation, a national leader in workforce health improvement and one of the largest independent benefits brokers in the country, will be attending the award luncheon on December 6th to accept the finalist nomination on Dr. Taylor's behalf.
The annual Health Care Heroes Awards are sponsored by the Hartford Business Journal and are held to identify and celebrate those outstanding leaders who are seen as the epitome of a "hero" in the health care industry in and around the Hartford area. Finalists range from medical professionals to organizations and all embody the word "hero" and have demonstrated a commitment to improving health care.
Dr. Charles Taylor, MD, serves as a medical advisor for several Fortune 500 Corporations and is recognized as a Top Doctor in America by U.S. News and World Report. He was also a member of the medical advisory committee to the Georgia Governor and served on the CDC Business and Expert Panel to develop and provide resources to states for setting guidelines and standards in the field of health promotion and preventive healthcare. Dr. Taylor is a co-author of Ovation's Risk Reduction Program which has served thousands of individuals at worksites across the US. Dr. Taylor received his B. S., Summa Cum Laude, from the University of Minnesota, St. Paul, MN and his M.D. at the University of Minnesota Medical School.
