The session, titled “Do the Math! Focus on Prevention Programs with Measurable Outcomes!” will be held on January 31st at 1:30 p.m. The hour-long session will illustrate how Ovation's Workforce Health strategy helped the Tax Collector's Office, serving Palm Beach County to reduce health care costs and chronic disease risk by leveraging c-suite and employee engagement through a unique health improvement program.
HBCE is an annual health benefits and workforce wellness event that offers employers the chance to network and interact with numerous private and public employers while gathering insight from national thought leaders on the issues of strategic health care cost reduction. Over the course of two days, attendees will visit employer-held workshops that will address the challenges of finding and executing sustainable and cost-effective health benefits strategies for American employers.
The session will feature Dr. Charles Taylor, M.D., of Ovation; Anne M. Gannon, Constitutional Tax Collector serving Palm Beach County; and Peter Townsley, Director of Chronic Disease Prevention Programs, Ovation. Townsley will outline the approach used to develop the health improvement program for the Tax Collector's Office serving Palm Beach, while Dr. Taylor will discuss the evidence-based science behind the program. Gannon will conclude by addressing considerations with the development and scope of the program, key actions necessary for employee buy-in, integrating wellness into her agency's culture, and measuring outcomes.
